Groveport Madison Schools encountered a significant security breach on Tuesday, leading to disruptions in internet services and the functionality of specific devices within their facilities. The breach, orchestrated by the ransomware group BlackSuit, successfully infiltrated two district servers, causing disruptions to Windows devices, file services, and printer/copiers. Notably, phones remained unaffected by the incident.

In response to the breach, the district promptly conducted an internal preliminary assessment, reassuring stakeholders that no student or staff data had been compromised during this security incident.
